North Fulton Council of PTAs

2021 Sally FitzGerald Scholarship

The NFCPTA is a group of local unit PTAs and PTSAs located in North Fulton County organized by the authorization of the Georgia PTA. Its purpose is to promote conferences, leadership training and coordination of efforts of the local PTAs and PTSAs in its membership. The NFCPTA is governed by its bylaws and elected officers. Every year NFC provides 1 or more scholarships to deserving students who are in the current graduating class.

The mission of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. Keeping this mission in mind, the Sally FitzGerald Scholarship will be awarded to students who have advocated (either for themselves, another, or a cause), show excellent communication skills in the application essay, are involved in their community through extra-curricular activities, and are academically proficient.

The monetary award for this scholarship is provided by voluntary donations from the local units of the NFCPTA, individual members, and private donations. The dollar amount of the scholarship is determined annually based upon all donations received.
